I fully realize I'm one of the very few people who were not as impressed by Real Madrid's 3-1 victory as most were. Barthez handed them the 1st goal and Raul's 2 goals were results of no defense by Man Utd. I know world class players take advantage of those miscues so I give Real credit for that.

Man Utd had the better of the possession and should have gotten at least 2 goals in the 2nd half and probably the tying goal. Raul is out of this match and in Real Madrid's last 2 matches, they were blasted by Sociedad and outworked by Barcelona in a 1-1 draw.

I see Man Utd handily winning this game and may even get the margin to go through to the semis.

Man Utd to win at +115 and over 2 1/2.

Raul's out, so you might have a sniff.

I like that bet too, raul is 25% of madrid offensive strength, his absence should in no case be underestimated, man. u. are also playing some great effective football lately. i am laying Real Madrid at 2.5 on the level handicap at several betting exchanges, so any of you madrid faitfulls wanna take my bet? http://theprescription.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes,

Raul is indeed very important.
Any other team news?

not that i know of, veron still out, all others fit to go for man. u. and real madrid as well, will be interesting to see how well ronaldo and gouti(?) will do up front, since besides having a lot of similarities in playing style, they ve never played together this year, or if del bosque decides any surprise formation with morientes or portillo, or if he chooses to use solari or other attack oriented midfielder and just one attacker up front.

Not much joy in dnb 2.5 minus commish when there's +.5 1.875 around...

I think this will be a very offensive game. Man Utd will play to score as many goals as possible (sorry to state the obvious). One thing about Real Madrid is that they do not really defend. Their way of defending is attacking, especially on the counter-attack. This should be a high scoring very entertaining game.

Play the over 4 goals at 2/1

The 2.5 is actually the odd after commision has been taken into account, in any case it seems that a number of people has taken up my offer, kill the books, nah, kill the punters! http://theprescription.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

hello there. i am not the greatest footy handicapper by any means, but this game screams 2-1 ManU. Manchester would get the much needed W against Real, but Real advances to the next round. Wish you guys the best with the game. Take care, and good luck! http://theprescription.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

2 low scoing games so far today.

04-24-2003, 01:24 PM
yeah, i expected that in the boavista game, but did not pull the trigger, and for some reason, which i am going to find out in a few minutes when i watch the game rebroadcast, lazio and porto is too, i cant figure this out, lazio is starting with 3 strikers, porto defence has got a few absence problems, perhaps lazio is too tense to score and portuguese not willing to attack as much.

04-24-2003, 01:27 PM
fvck that, if lazio miss a penalti too, then this game is not destined to go over...

IT makes no sense. Lazio should
be pressing big time.

Oh well, at least i've got a
cool new avatar.
