Exactly, don't waste your time with anything other than Texas Hold 'em at first. After you get that down then if so inclined learn the other games.

McIrish is right. Been playing casino style poker periodically for about 1-2 years and I really only play Texas Hold 'Em. Some of the other games are loads more interesting from a strategic standpoint but Hold 'Em is more popular and you get to see more hands per hour which is important to me since I don't get to play as often as I like. I started out playing the free money games on a few of the online poker rooms. That's a good place to start but when the games are for real $$$ the play is very different.
