BigBetPoker, Can you please try to be more active on this forum answering questions for potential customers etc. If not we will have to take our game and set it up elsewhere. I still cant download your software and raiders asked a question about setting up an RX table for us to use.

thanks

I'm sure glad that I didn't send any money to BigBet.

tekari-

notice that one of my posts in the "Who is interested in an Rx poker night?" is edited...let's just say that i edited that post after i remembered that my "momma" once said that if you can't say something nice about someone then don't say anything at all.

after seeing this post and thinking about the fact that the rx is supposed to be a site for information for players, i decided to post this. in another thread raiders identified a problem with new or less popular online poker rooms, lack of players. bigbet MAY be a fine poker room but i also had problems downloading their software and i've read that they have a small player base. given that, i would rather play where i already have an account with an established player base and software issues that i am aware of and can deal with. this is a hobby for me, when i find free time to play i want to play at that time not "later on when other people finally log in."

i want to support the sponsors of this site but in this case IMHO the sponsor is sub par. even though a book sponsored the rx, would you open an account with that book if you knew that it had the sharpest lines and it had a policy to pay 5 days after the payout was requested? this example may not be completely analogous to the bigbet situation but my only point is that playing with the aforementioned book may be suboptimal and for my $$$ there are better places to play poker than bigbet.

i'm just trying to offer an opinion here. if someone (player or sponsor) wants to dispute it fine i would welcome it.

Yes I hope they don't delete this thread... I am not bashing them just there are legitimate concerns that need to be answered and bigbetpoker is no where to be found.

this is not encouraging to say the least.

tekari-

you probably shouldn't be so hard on bigbet. i think that if a game and time were set and you called/email them, they would set up a table. i don't think they intended to have a permanent rx table on the site, although i'm sure the rx powers that be would like that.

i don't know how sponsorship works here but just a note to bigbet...if you are going to "sponsor" a forum, it's probably wise to ensure that you have someone in mangement or a cust service person monitor the board a few times a day (at a minimum). you want to get your $$ worth (or ad space worth..whatever the case may be).

it shouldn't take up too many of your resources and you would get quite a bit of mileage from players who notice the effort that you make in answering questions and being responsive in general. can you imagine the new player traffic that would go to your site?!?!? but what the heck do i know, i'm just someone who works in business who spent 2 years of my life and a bunch of money studying business (fyi..which is really just common sense http://therxforum.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).

Hey RPM I have some good feedback. I downloaded their software and got the free 75 dollars. Their site is alright.. just not alot of players. I played some short-handed 3-6 for awhile, the players seemed about average-below average. I got lucky and won a decent amount so I am happy so far! If you dont mind games being short sometimes, the deposit 75, get 75 free is a great deal especially for beginners who want to learn.

I still wish we could get a rx poker night or something going anyone interested? Maybe bigbet you could create the table and get it started?

GL everyone

It might depend on the browser. Everytime I tried to download the software on Opera my computer locked up. I finally tried it with Explorer and it went through fine.

The Poker website aadvertised at the RX does NOT have a HUGE following...only like 4 differnet people were online when i tried to install the software while PartyPoker would have like thousands... or it seems like it...

Ivan-

If you want to play at BigBet I would suggest that you get in on the Rx poker night/game started by Tekari/McIrish/Raiders. I think they are starting a $1/$2 game for a different night. I haven't played at BigBet but the game with the posters from this site should be fun. At least I know the table will have more than 5 people playing.

Ivan - Swami is correct. I think this is a newer business so no they aren't nearly as busy as some of the more established places. Opening up a poker room is a tough business, very tough. So many choices that people just do not run when you first open the doors. Anyway the point I am getting at is if you want to play get involved on the scheduled times to begin with. We will surely have a game on those nights as we are getting people to sign up ahead of time. Right now from what you say it will be slow during other periods.

Anyway playing with other forum members is always more fun to me than playing with strangers. We talk smack and sort of rub it in a little. Can't wait to snap the Shrink off on the river with those 4-7 off suit cards I play.....http://therxforum.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

it seems to me the most popular games going on bigbet are the .5/1 and the 3/6 level
