in preparation for tuesday's game, i tried out bigbet using a win 98 machine and all seemed to run smoothly. i now have windows xp and the bigbet software crashes at least once during a session. i get a message that says something about an upgrader.exe and the software then tries to send an error report to microsoft.

anyone using bigbet on a windows xp machine and if so, do you have problems? my issues may be isolated but i wanted to gather a bit of info, so i'm not taken by surprise by technical issues during the game.

thanks.

btw, yes, i emailed bigbet support. that was hours ago and i have not received a response.

Swami,

Did you upgrade the 98 machine to XP or did you load the software on a different machine?

If you upgraded, try uninstalling and reloading the software.

Also, try calling if you haven't gotten a response to the e-mail.

bigbet software gave me problems again yesterday. i'm certain its not my pc but generally the software does work. you should be encouraged to know that the cards are running bad for me and ive dropped a few bucks at bigbet trying to practice for this game tonight. see ya at 8pm.

btw, get someone to delete my two posts above with the jibberish. its bad advertising about the techinical acumen of you folks at the rx.

patrick-

your wish is my command...nice touch.

bigbet-

im using a 6 day old p4, 2.6ghz, 512 mb ram pc running windows xp. i've had no problems other than your software.

i had to reinstall the software yesterday since i double clicked the icon and nothing happened. (i kept the installation file on my desktop since i thought by deleting it i caused the problem below). i have not played any hands since the reinstall. i just wanted to check my balance.

prior to the reinstall above, i would sit at a table and for some reason the software would crash. i did delete the install icon after the process was complete so that may have been the problem. i emailed support about the problem i had and i was told to reinstall and that's what i did. i then had the problem i identified in my first paragraph. you may also want to check with playersonly69 since it appears that he had software issues as well.

if you want me to call support, let me know and i'll do so this evening.
