The announcers on the WPT are idiots!

I know they get paid to comment on the game but these guys sound really stupid. I'm watching last night and Gus Hanson (I don't know why but I don't like that guy) gets lucky and pulls a 6 on The River for 2 pair to win a hand of about $400,000 and the announcers freak out like he is the best card player in the world!!!!! Give me a freakin break!!! If a 6 wouldn't have come up they would have been saying what a bad move Gus made staying in the game!!!!! Same exact thing happened at the end when Gus drew a Jack on The River.

These guys really piss me off. I may have to start watching with the sound turned off.

Gus Hanson is one of the best. He is brilliant, he puts everyone on edge and throws everyone off. I love to watch him to play.

Players like Gus Hanson and Phil Ivey are the reasons that I never play short handed. They keep tight players, even tight aggressive players, on edge. They raise with the nuts, they raise with chit, they raise you preflop with 72.....you NEVER know where you are with them. I've tried the fight fire with fire method and I still have problems with these players.

It also goes to show how much luck is involved in the game of poker. I've seen those guys and and guys like them get trapped in a major bluff and the river bails them out.

No doubt they are GREAT players who will win over the long haul but they need a little luck just like the rest of us. Fortunately, in full games, even these guys calm down a bit because you can't bluff a whole table.

i like howard lederers game.. phil and gus are good though,, scotty gyeun is pretty good too..

the guy is an awesome player. apparently he just started playing tournaments full time this year.
