At Intertops, you can bet on what movies will be nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards. Granted, the odds for The Two Towers and Gangs of New York are 1.2 and the limit is $110 I think, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks! The Hours is another shoe-in.

gangs isn't an automatic to be nominated. in fact, I won't be surprised if it isn't.

about schmidt is getting a lot of play for nominations. plus it skews older. so i think that, two towers, and the hours, are my only locks right now.

I'd agree that it's not a lock, but I'm all over it. It's Scorsese's wanna-be masterpiece, and I don't think the Academy is going to want to snub him. It's got everything going for it except for it's somewhat muddled story.
