Annoying "features" in new cars

I don't have a new car, but hope to buy one in the near future.

This past week I was in Vegas and rented an 06 Chrysler convertible. The damn thing kept dinging and dinging reminding me to put on the seat belt. I finally just latched the belt behind me to make it shut up. I assume that "safety feature" is common on new cars?

Another thing I have no use for is DRL's (daytime running lights). Any techs know how difficult it would be do disable this nuicance?

Its not going to matter about the lights.With the price of gas it will sit in your driveway most of the time anyway.
