Okay guys so I am choosing not to post my plays this week in the NFL out of respect for Ace-Ace starting fresh. Hoping he turns around his losing streak. So I will only post my College and CFL plays at the Rx. Lets get right into it. I see a very off line that I knew people would sleep on and they did. I am waiting until all books release their lines and I will bet this across the board. I think this line is about 4 points off but I know what they are basing this line on. I will explain after I get 50 units down on it.

Mr King
I'm Just Another Person Not Happy With, But Obviously Must Accept Your Decision Concerning Not Offering Your Nfl Picks
True, I Am Being Selfish, Because You Have Been And Are An Amazing Handicapper Who Has Helped Put Money In My Accounts.
If You Should Decide To Change Your Mind Or Are Wavering You Know Where My Vote Is Placed.
I Would Also Beseech Ace Ace To Release You From Your Decision
As It Would Bring Satisfaction To Many Members Of This Forum
Thank You For The Opportunity To Speak My Mind
Best Wishes Mr King, Whatever You Do

Guys I'm sure there are enough solid cappers on here without having to basically 'beg' someone else to post his picks. If you're not confisent in your own capping and picking, then maybe you shouldn't be betting at all. I never was one to beg or entice someone to post their picks and I'm certainly not going to start now. If someone makes a decision not to post, then why not leave it at that and move ahead. When KC is ready to post, he'll post. Geez!

With Henry Burris getting a week to rest in Winnipeg, he is geared up for another start against the Al's. AC has left to be with his wife and I think this may be a better thing as he was struggling and Brady has been a servicable QB. All the Al's need in this one is 20 points cause the Stamps will stamp down 35 points on their own. Couldn't wait for the team total to come out and the truth is can't get enough down to make it worth while to wait. Weather report, although early is perfect with little to no wind and no rain/snow in the forecast. Last time Burris played, they hung 38 points against a decent Bomber's defense. I think Burris will have another huge day and Brady will get some things going, enough to push this game total over 50.
Official Play:
Montreal/Calgary over 50 (20 units) - only because these books only want to give me $500 a play then move the line. :ohno:

Good luck. I see you didn't wait for CRIS. Maybe if you had you could have played them as well as 5 Dimes and got them all at 50. I notice you've moved the line to 52/52.5.
I'm tailing you with a small play I was able to get at 50 at a nameless book.

LOL, yeah my patience was killing me. This number is way to low with Burris playing. I think it is the right number with a Shankey Vs Brady tilt but Burris will have another field day against the Al's. I got back to back meetings tonight so cannot wait until Cris and 5dimes. Good luck to us!!

Is it confirmed Burris is playing?
Even if he does I wouldn't trust Montreal to be lighting up the scoreboard with Brady. There's a reason Brady has been a backup everywhere.

I'm not going to disagree, but I'll play Devil's Advocate again.
Neither of these teams has much to play for. If Burris starts, he may not finish because the game means really next to nothing for Calgary, who basically needs to prepare for Saskatchewan in round 1 of the upcoming playoffs.
As for Montreal... the offense has just been putred. It really has. Again, you're basically in a position where Montreal has got to prepare for a roadie @ Toronto in the first round of the playoffs with little to play for. I just think the lack of motivation for both teams paired with the offensive ineptitude of the Als at this point (and their defense has played relatively well lately, to be honest) could produce an unpredictable result.
I think you're right, but I'll throw the other side out there.

Brady gives Montreal a better chance at winning than AC does. AC has been off lately and Brady gives the running QB element. Also remember if Brady was in Toronto, he would have been the starter over Bishop. He was always higher on the depth chart. Do I expect Montreal to score 35?? No, I think they only meed to score 17+ to assist with Calgary's 33+. Would the line be -6.5 is Shankey was starting? I seriously doubt it and if indeed Sankey is starting, give me Montreal +7 for as much as they will allow me!! Good luck this week!! :toast:

:ohno:Maas' is going to start:
http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/news_story/?ID=221228&hubname=cfl
I actually like Maas' better as a pure throwing QB, thought he was great in Edmonton and just average at Hamilton. Still think they are good for 20+ points. Maas will do everything in his power to win that starting job for good. I think he will do okay and Calgary has a sub-par defense so this is the perfect time to showcase what he's got.

yeah there was a brief time when Brady was regarded higher than Bishop...but then he got a few starts and it was realized he sucked. Sure Brady gives Montreal a running option however he also gives them inaccurate passing. Calvillo to Brady is a lateral move.
And I think its wrong to just assume Burris is starting because the line is 7. Higgins himself probably hasn't even decided how much if any Burris will play so I don't know how the books know what the situation will be.
Too many key unknowns going in this game for a large play.
**missed that last post. IMO that is good for your over, Maas can lead that group of recievers to points.

I think it is intesting to note that ....
Mont is 6-1 to the over otr avg'g 55 pts per game
&
CGY is 6-2 to the over at home avg'g 60 pts per game.
Neither team will be lead by the QBs' that have lead them to those records.
Maas for Montreal getting his first start.????
Sankey will start IMO opinion then Maybe burris plays in Week 19.
This game means nothing for Calgary it may be important for Montreal if Edmonton Upsets Sask. If it means nothing for both sides I agree the play is Over....
But I think BC beats Hamilton, which will relegate Sask to 2nd place & then they won't care much about the Edmonton game & Edmonton wins SU to keep their hopes alive. Forcing Montreal to play a focused defensive game.

Come the weekend I maybe on this play with you as well, but will wait and see what happens on Friday first.

Sir,
In Some Ways I Agree With You
It Touches Me In A Negative Way When People Beg For A Pick,
Or Say Hey Come On So And So It's Getting Close To Post So
Where's Your's Pick--like A Man Has Nothing Else To Do In Life
But Post His Bets For Others.
I Hope My Reaction Was Different. I Don't Ask King For His Plays Or When Will He Post Them.
I Just Really Thought It Unorthodox To Change His Normal
Offerings On Behalf Of Another Poster Who We Have Sinced Learned Is Not Effected Positively Or Negatively Should Mr
King Choose To Offer His Picks
And, Personally, Mr Sprinky I Hate Detail And Paper Work. I Am
Not Too Proud To Acknowledge When Someone Is Better In Something Than I Am And Then Either Ask Or Follow His
Advice.
Haven't You Ever Had The Need To Follow Another's Wisdom Before Or Must You Always Rely On Your Own Research, Knowledge, And Experiences? I Don't Mean To Be Nasty, Mr Sprinky, Just A Friendly Discussion.

Just to throw this out there... technically Montreal isn't out of the woods yet. Edmonton can catch them for the final spot in the East.
But this is very unlikely... you are essentially right about nobody having anything to play for. But sometimes those games make for the most offensive.
Either way, I wouldn't make this a big play personally, but i think it's worth a unit. AC has sucked so bad this year, Montreal needed to make a change anyways.

At first glance, Montreal-Calgary over 50 seems obvious choice with Burris and Calvillo as quarterbacks. Both offenses are better than the defenses. If inferior Sankey and Maas play, the outcome appears more uncertain?

From TSN:
The Stamps chose to keep Henry Burris out of the line up for the rematch against Winnipeg and went with CFL journey man Ben Sankey. Calgary seemingly confirmed that they are a below average football team without Burris and a dangerous one with him.
Burris did come back from a dislocated shoulder after just 3 weeks and it was a short week so the Stamps were being extra cautious. It was Sankey's first CFL start in over 5 years
Burris will start against Montreal on Saturday.
The Stampeders loss didn't mean much as they clinched a playoff spot after B.C. beat Edmonton to end the Green and Gold's chances
The Riders win over Hamilton ended the Stamps chance of hosting the West semi final. So they will play in Saskatchewan in a few weeks. Tom Higgins said that may not be a bad thing considering how bad they played in their last 2 playoff home games - TSN

Yes, I believe Greek pulled the line because of Cavillo but not sure why, I think Maas is better than AC today. There could be some doubt in Burris whether he starts this game or the season closer. Regardless, still like my total play.

Sorry for not responding last night, was not available. Crazy weather in Hamilton and of course Williams with the back door cover for the Cats. Insane finish in Edmonton. If you guys want to hear a joke, I bet Edm/Sask over 51 by accident at the Greek thinking it was Cal/Mon when I was betting my big total for the first time and called in but they would not cancel my play. I ended up winning the total for 5 units but never liked over/under to begin with. I did not bet but I would have been all over Edmonton and the moneyline and would have been REALLY PISSED!!! Terrible beat for Edmonton backers, had the game in the bag numerous times.
I am watching the Argo's and will bet the HT if it finishes 4-1 at the half, will post my play here.

Brady came in and sparked the Al's offense and I think he will do okay for the 2nd half. Burris is moving the rock with ease and assuming he plays for the 2nd half, the Stamps will win this game. They will probably not cover the 9 points but they should win outright.
Official Play:
Calgary -6.5 -110 (10 units)

Thanks for the early notice KC at the bat.
Burris was intercepted at the half and that had me concerned but you are right, he was moving the ball.
I also think this is going to go over 27.5 as there is no reason to think these 2 teams will slow down in the 2nd half.

23.5?? :monsters- (27.5) I agree but because I got 5 grand on the total, I will lay off. I always hate high totals in the 2nd half but this game has shootout written all over it. Only concern is Maas.
Also FYI, both Maas and Brady will play which makes me love Calgary even more. :toast:

If they (Calgary) keep making idiotic errors like running into the kicker, etc., they certainly won't win this game outright. In fact this game is slowly beginning to display phoney errors like the kind we saw on the part of the fucking Eskimoes last night. :nopityA:

I was wondering the same. Why did they go for 1 to trail by 1 instead of 2 to tie???
