All vBulletins comes with it, so why do you guys have it turned off?

Management decision to reduce spammers and shills from soliciting posters. This question has been being asked since 2002 and the answer is still the same.

We do have personal blogs on toolbar above various forums.

Think it'd really be in the best interest of RX to implement this a.s.a.p., not even wait a few months for it.

Spamming/shilling aside, include a feature to block certain posters or what not, doesn't seem like it's a problem across the street (least not yet) and I think it's worth a look. Just my .02.

The problem is my boss and Rx.com General Manager Marty Jensen will be abroad for at least 6 more weeks. The decision is not mine to make, when he returns I will see what he has to say. The site has survived for years without a PM and will make it a while longer without one.

I think the RX would be A LOT better with PM's.

We've been without it for long enough. I rarely use it on other sites.

I agree would be nice to see it implemented. Maybe modify it so only posters with 500-1000+ posts can use the PM feature.

That way it would eliminate the vast majority of the spammers.

PM for the RX is like video replay on homers in baseball, everyone knows its only going to help but the powers that be are resistant to changes

Yes we will install it with some kind of low post count necessary to be eligible to use it: - 300

No we will stay the same with no PM +250

This is not anything official, just my line on what is likely to happen later this month.

wtf? I have never seen a forum where you couldnt pm someone. If someone is sending spam through the pm system, they should be reported and banned just like it is everywhere else.
