If you are already registered for this contest and you have any general questions or concerns as we go, please post them in this thread here.

Any questions that are posted in the wrong section will be moved to the correct one to make sure they are available for easy access to everyone to read.

This thread will also be used to post any relevent annoucments about the contest as the year goes along.

It is important for me to make sure that everyone clearly understands the deadlines of the various contests, and that everyone clearly understands the contingency plans in the case of a site outage. It is the responsibility of all Post Up players to make sure they have noted the contingency plans in the case of a site outage, site outage will thus not be a valid excuse for not being able to post plays, as everyone should have the email addresses saved.

It is also important that everyone understands that if a Player decides to take the RISK of waiting till the last minute to post cannot use internet outages, forum outages or email outages as an excuse for not getting their plays in. It is for this reason, that everyone is highly advised to post early and not wait for the deadline.

IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY AND YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE FORUM FOR WHATEVER REASON YOU CAN EMAIL YOUR PLAYS, THIS IS STRICTLY UNDER EMERGENCY SITUATIONS IF THE FORUM IS DOWN OR CLOCKING.

RX MODERATORS WILL DO THEIR BEST TO POST THE PLAYS AS SOON AS POSTING IS AVAILABLE, BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL BE BEFORE 1PM IF THE FORUM IS DOWN. REMEMBER, THIS IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY.

Last year there were 20 participants, and 4 places were paid. If there are
only 5-10 participants this year, then I suggest it be Winner-Takes-All.
How many participants are there so far, is it still only 5, or is the number higher now? What's your take on my suggestion BTW?

i agree, if we dont have at least 10, then go winner take all..

If we get to 10, then we oughta at least let 2 people be happy....

maybe a 75-25 split....

i always like to have a "money back -option" for 2nd place..just to keep it interesting for others in case we have one run-away on top.

i received a request from a poster to join late if he accepts 0-4 for week # 1.

I told him i didnt see a problem.

I actually think chriscol makes sense, if one poster is RUNNING AWAY wit it, at least we have something to stay interested in, a $300 for second i dont hink is a bad idea personally. I guess since there are only 7 of us we can vote

A tie is like kissing your sister (and that's assuming that your
sister isn't hot and you're not from West Virginia). $300 for second would
just be getting your money back, a pointless wash. If there are only 7 or 8 of us in the contest (assuming that the 8th guy is allowed to join late,
accepting a record of 0-4) it really is pointless to pay more than one spot.

i would vote that since we're getting an "extra" entry that we didnt know about, that we use his money as 2nd place....

why not? make someone else a little happy at the end....still leaves over 2000.00 to the winner

Since the pot looks like it will be 2880.00, i would go as far as to say it would be cool to go 2K, and 880.00...

2 people are gonna be happy, and i doubt anyone complains about winning 2K in the contest....

thats my opinion..

but if we can choose only one option i go with yes, pay 2nd place something....

i hadnt thought about the fact, that someone goes nuts and on a huge run, and the rest of us lose interest with no shot

Been away.....got e-mail asking me to vote but I don't see a poll.

ANY-way.....I think I get the gist of it.....sooo...my vote is let the person in. (by the way I would even be ok with them coming in at 2-2- or 1-3.....but 0-4 is a total no brainer)

As for the split....I'd be against 2nd prize being $300. EIther make it worth having (like $880) or just make it winner take all. I agree about the sister kissing thing. Yucko !!.......As for whether it is zero or $800-ish for 2nd, I really don't care.....but I think it needs to be decided before kickoff today.
