How do you get 3rd and 4th place in the fantasy league?

They're the two semifinal losers, right?

Do they have a head-to-head match in Week 16?

You know cincy_ good point.

I had to put the final pieces to these leagues together so fast before the season started to get drafts & all in place, I used the payout system from last season which was slightly different.

Obviously we know how 1st & 2nd place will be decided, but 3rd & 4th would indeed be the Semifinal losers, but we need to vote & determine immediately how we will decide on which one is awarded 3rd, and which one is awarded 4th.

We could go by better regular season record, which one scored more points vs their semifinal opponent, etc.

Someone please do me a favor and create another thread with a title that fits this subject that playoff treams need to vote on this before we get to that point & give a few options.

Couldn't the semifinal losers just play in week 16 along with the championship game? Easy to set the schedule once the week 15 results are known. By the way...thanks for all your work Hache!:toast:

Are the division winners guaranteed minimum 4th place due to the 1st round byes? I'm still waiting for the site to come out with the playoff brackets

I think that should be the first option. If not, it should be the higher point total between the two semi-final losing teams. There might be one semi where the score is 175 to 165 and the other semi is 145 to 125. The team with 165 should get 3rd.

That would make for four teams remaining into week 15.......the semifinals.

The FINALS and CONSOLATION games would be week 16...........the winner of consolation gets 3rd and the loser 4th.

You're right Fish, only Division winners get byes.

The only question was how to decide 3rd & 4th place, and like some of you already suggested, we'll just go with the consolation matchup along with the Championship week...
