For good reason. Favre had no reason to throw there. They were already on the edge of field goal range in a tie game. No reason to throw across the field when he had space to run. Manning had to get a touchdown. Apples and oranges.

Reminds me of an old joke.polocks and Italians having a football game to see who the smartest was after 3 days of playing to a 0-0 score. The Italians quit walked off the field.About ten plays later the polocks kicked a field goal and won.

3rd and 15 says they were not in FG range if coach called a pass ! Bum ankle probably kept him from getting more then 3-4 yards. Who knows though !

Oh fuck pardon me. i didn't know that they changed the rules and that they lineup for every Sunday is to play for regular season MVP.
I guess the playoffs are just an extension of the preseason kind of like the pro bowl.Hell Favre and Manning are the greatest.Thanks for telling me now I can watch figue skating during the playoff season.

You realize, with these posts, I am not knocking the Pats like others in here. There accomplishments were great. I believe that Pats have had the best coaching and management this decade and maybe the top of the list of all time. With that being said, Brady has always been put into a great psotion to win, the coaches do that for him, defense always put him in great Field positions etc. They always draft smart players. Thats the mark of a great team and organization. MY opinion is Brady probably would not have won those rings anywhere else, not at Indy either, just like I don't think Montana wins them with Elways team, or Akimon wins them on the mid 90"s Packers teams. But the Pats are the team of the decade and desevedly so !
