Why? You don't think the PAC-12 is as good as the SEC right now?

S. Carolina is not that good this year.
LSU is not a top 15 school right now.
Is Miss St. really that good? We'll see.

Why is it that the SEC beats up on each other and the conference is considered great but when the PAC-12 does it, they aren't considered that tough?

ehh cause everyone knows if they lined them up and went down the line the SEC would kill the Pac12

Peyton Manning couldn't go 750-6 in the SEC, nevermind Connor Halliday

Might get a team from big ten now; 2 losses a chance still; just too many decent teams; a year when an 8 team playoff would still have a lotta b*tching..jmho

They just need to have the 8 team playoff with the 5 power conference champions getting an automatic bid and 3 at larges. It is going to happen so just do it already. That way, except for Notre Dame and a few other teams, you earn the right to the playoffs and it is settled on the field.

What if the SEC West beats each other up this year and no team has less than 2 losses? Just settle it on the field, you win your conference title game or in the Big 12 you regular season conference you go to the playoffs. That way there are no excuses a team is left out. I agree the SEC is the best conference however the conferences do not play enough games vs. each other to get a true standard.

Would rather have the auto bids than some random people in a secret room holding secret meetings to decide what 4 teams get in? Yes, they would still have to choose 3 at large teams but at least you take a large part of the control out of the panel's power with 5 auto bids. Again, settle it on the field.

Plus can you imagine that first round? Four playoff games on one Saturday starting at noon and ending at midnight on the West Coast. Could do it on New Years and it would be amazing.

Don't agree at all. Do you watch the PAC-12 living where you do? Most people don't.

They are very close. Not quite sure why people think these SEC schools are that great this year.

Truth is they are not. The conference does not have one great dominant team that jumps off the paper like in previous years. However the SEC diehards refuse to believe what is happening in front of their eyes.

Tough to talk about how great the SEC is top to bottom when one of its members lost to Indiana at home. There is not a single great team in college football this year, plenty of very good ones to choose from.

Lets cut the nonsense talk - overall the SEC is a class by itself and all the other teams would have a tough time playing an SEC schedule

Why? Because ESPN tells you so? I mean, a team we thought was a really good SEC team got beat by UK this weekend. Another good one got beat at home by Indiana. LSU stinks this year.

Yeah, totally agree.

Still think Oregon can make the final 4.

On a neutral field right now I bet Oregon or UCLA is favored over Mississippi St.

Oregon -4
UCLA -1

No, not because ESPN told me so - because they account for half the titles in the last 20 years - and that's with 5 teams winning titles - it's literally unimaginable for any other conference

What in the world does that have to do with this year? That's what we're talking about in this thread.

The PAC-12 is bad this year. I think we'll have two SEC teams for sure and the other two spots will be determined on whether FSU/Baylor loses. Then maybe the PAC-12 could get a 1 loss spot. But doubtful
