Who still thinks Kaepernick is better than Wilson?

I think he has more potential but Russ is very good. Seattle's offensive line is a million times better than Kaep's as well. Kaepernick has been running for his life all season. Jonathan Martin never blocks anyone. They need Anthony Davis back bad. Joe Staley has been hurt quite a bit this year as well. 49ers have been moving Alex Boone out to tackle after he missed all preseason with a holdout. That's the best they've got right now...

I'd put Manning, Rodgers, and Brees in the top tier group.

Brady, Ryan, Wilson, Luck, Roethlisberger, and Rivers in the group below that.

Manning

Brady/Brees - bout even right now.

Point is Wilson can make all the throws & reads. He also can escape like nobody I have seen in a while. Very controlled and he has the smarts. Just a great QB and class act.

Kaepernick was wonderful at Nevada! He just needs to grow up as a QB. Wilson has already won a superbowl.

If you had to throw the ball 40 times a game to win, who would you rather have? Wilson not sniffing the top 5 for me. Let's not forget he has the leagues best defense, run game and a great OL in front of him. He's more than a game manager but I'm not taking him on my time without that. He can't be the star of the team IMO

Kaepernick hopes to create when he runs.
Wilson runs with purpose. (and still looks downfield to throw if he can)

If we go just based on 2014 so far.... is Russel in the mix for top 5?

Kap is my guy at QB but Wilson was super tonight. I'm beginning to re-evaluate!

This is the hater talk always brought up to discredit Wilson.

Why is the assumption made that if Russ has to throw it 40 times a game all of a sudden everything hes doing currently is going to change dramatically. Hes smart with the ball, he can make all the throws, hes elusive and keeps plays alive that most qbs cant, with a high qb rating week in week out but you add 15 more passes per week and hes going to throw 15 more interceptions each week? you seem to think those elements would go out the window and everything above 25 throws is an int against. You just dont know wtf Wilson will do having to toss it 40. I can tell ya as a hawk fan ive seen every snap since hes taken over, the number of terrible reads, bad plays are ridiculously low, if he had to throw more, youd just see gaudier fantasy numbers, sure his ints would go up as well but hed more than likely end this nonsense argument. Ultimately all that matters is the win, so if he doesnt have to throw 40 why throw 40? Just keep winning. Give me a qb who wins over a qb who can throw for 400+ on 50 attempts but cant get the score when the game on the line.

The defense has been average this year, did they lead the overtime win vs denver? Wilsons been the mvp of this team this year. The identity of the team last year was the defense but its been a far more balanced team and his evolution is clear.

Lynch is a beast no question, but hes not the only qb that relied on a running game.

Great OL omg, you dont watch the hawks. They were amongst the worst OL in football last year and won the superbowl. They are marginally better this year, theyre ok in run blocking but one of the worst pass protection lines in the nfl. If not for Russ's ability to escape this line would be giving up huge sack numbers. A drop back qb would be eaten alive behind that line. He masks an incredible amount of their flaws.

My top 3 right now:
Rodgers
Luck
Wilson

Manning/Brady/Brees I don't see much of a difference between them right now except the teams playing around them.
I think you could put Brady in Denver and see Manning's numbers, and put Manning in NE and see Brady's numbers.

Not sold on Rivers yet (except my Fantasy team loves him).

Kap ain't as good as Wilson no way!

I'm interested in seeing when Wilson gets his new contract - they're going to lose some really good players and we will see if his production drops / Seattle starts to falter.

At this point, I'd lean more towards Wilson. He seems to make less mistakes.
