Threw in a hundred bucks.. Let's see what happens. Couple observations...

-how the fuk is this ok, but poker and most importantly sports betting is not? I know the verbage in the gaming laws that deem this a gave of skill not chance, but c'mon.. It's ridiculous.

- cannot believe that they have college games/players. No way the NCAA likes this. These guys can't take a free cheeseburger, but I can essentially bet on how well Connor Halliday specifically does tonight.

- reminds me of online poker in the sense of multi-player tourney, double up tourney, top 20 cash, etc

- seems like if you know your stuff there's some money to be made (I guess)

- most importantly, you can deposit and get paid very easily. If I like it and it's worth it, I can honestly see me doing more of this than anything because I can actually get the money in reasonable means.

anyone on here already playing? Any info to share?

Just seems to me there would be too many nerds sitting at home for this to be successful. Fantasy football is so big now and everyone has all the necessary info, that it seems like a crap shoot to me.

I agree with terps but will like you to keep us informed with how it goes. I don't like the week to week format, too hit and miss

I've been playing for 2 years and really enjoy it. I'm a small time player who enjoys playing baseball. I played in fantasy baseball leagues for years and actually enjoy playing Daily fantasy better b/c i dont have to grind everyday. I play when i want to.

There is no question that this is gambling but my feeling is that the leagues are ok with this form of gambling because there is little or no chance of any player shaving points or affecting the outcome of a game. Just another example of the hypocrisy that is out there

It's not gambling because you're not betting on the outcome of the game. I don't like it though, feels like playing a 12 team parlay card where you need to get everything right in order to cash it. Very longshot to win anything.

They may not effect the outcome of the game but the can mess up the fantasy stats very easily

I've been playing for a month now. My #1 observation right now is the 50/50 leagues are much easier to beat than the big entry tournaments. Much lower winnings but higher % chance to win.

EnFudge is right. Made that comment in a previous fan duel thread.

From whatci hear you can treat it liked poker.
"Grind" it out with 50/50 and make steady cash if you are good.
Tournaments are just like a poker tourney at World Series of pokern big payout but less percentage of doing any good.

Lot of former poker players do this with tons of entries in big ones.

Draftkings last week for the million dollar first prize had two well known online poker guys finish 1-2 and both had 50-100 entries.
So risking 1-2k at a shot to win a million (like a poker tourney)

I'm up just shy of 5k on the NFL year so far. It takes time, time, and more time to be good at this game. My best sport is NBA and 2nd is MLB......if you have a full time job and family there is no way you will be successful long term. With that said a common Joe can hang in the NFL.....not so much in the other two sports. Good luck to ya.

Couple pieces of advice.

1.) Build your team around Value first and studs second. Find that value week in and week out.
2.) Don't chase last weeks TDs

Three players to build around this week because of their value/point expectation.

1.) Sankey
2.) Storm Johnson
3.) Andre Williams

Best of luck!

Solid post. Would love to see you post some NBA teams each night. I've never played NBA.

In CFB this weekend, think you have to take M. Gordon and expect a 50 point day against Illinois. I'm then on

Boykin - QB
Chubb - RB
Fuller - WR
J. Wilson - WR
Lippett - WR
Sinz - TE
