I don't over doing it or addiction - if I want to have some drinks I do - if I don't - then I don't - if I want to do cocaine I will but when the night is over I go to bed

Even with gambling - I never wanted to chase when I lost

12 beers over 3hrs isnt that bad if you're watching the games. It would be bad if you're driving though.

12 beers in 3 hours isn't horrible if you don't do it every day. If they're light beers, you're talking around 160 mL of alcohol. That's barely above half of a fifth of 80 proof vodka. Until you get to an equivalent of a fifth+ a day that's not serious alcoholism. Although it will make you super fat. That's a lot of empty calories.

Alcohol is nothing to me. I can binge drink with the best of them or I can not drink for 3 months and i wouldn't even notice. Drinking has always been social for me. Rarely do I drink just sitting around by myself. So idk to answer your question.

I'm Like Bourn, occasionally I have a beer or two at home, and every once in while I'll go out with friends and go on a bender. The next day my body tells me to take it easy for a few months. I never understood alcohol addiction. Why would someone want to be drunk all the time and feel like sit the next day 24 hours a day unless they had other issues.

I did quit smoking cigs 8 years ago.

Been over 38 yrs now. And I was no pussy when it came to the hard stuff, beer was for amateurs! Lost it all. Smashed 5 out of 7 for 10 yrs. Not proud. AA, higher power, & just plain tired of being "sick & tired" EVERY day. Not easy, the simple answer, DON'T DRINK. PM me if anyone wants to talk. BOL to all still fighting it.

You're right, you don't understand it. At all. And how could you?

Alcohol affects different people differently. The way it triggers the pleasure centers in the brain of an alcoholic are far different than in that of a normal person.

Non-addicts will never truly understand where addicts are coming from. They can sympathize but not empathize. Only other addicts understand, that's why support groups like AA are so effective (relatively speaking).
