Two outs & it takes a good throw from the relay man to get him at the plate, i believe i would have taken my chances as i said when i saw the ball rolling to the fence, good game to watch between two good teams.

I thought when the ball reached the wall he might score, and then they showed him barely making it to third when the ball was thrown in to the cut off man. He would have been out by 10 feet or more.

Gordon looked like he was carrying a piano between second and third, and the relay man had the ball before he hit third. The relay man might have been able to beat him home running the ball in. Too bad Cain, Aoki or Escobar didn't hit it. A play at the plate would have been exciting.

Maybe if Gordon was running hard the whole way. He didn't get out of the box quick. Probably thought it was just a single. He needed to be going 100 mph right from the start to have a chance.

I understand that it looked like he would have been out by a mile or whatever, but i would have taken my chances with the relay man making an errant throw as to getting a hit off of Baumberger, that was my thoughts when the ball was rolling to the wall, matter of fact i was yelling at the TV to send him, lol

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!! Bum was pitching lights out... SF needed a perfect relay to the shortstop along with a perfect relay to home. They had no success vs Bum except that hit by Gordon which was no more than a basic single but misplayed by the center fielder and left fielder. However, Gordon's lackadaisical jaunt (hmmm, in a World Series game #7) from home on what he believed was a single along with being held up going into third cost him valuable time. Oh well great series anyways
