Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN.

NBC4 D.C. earlier reported the decision.

Griffin hasn't played since dislocating his left ankle in Week 2.

Griffin was a full participant Wednesday in practice for the first time since injuring his ankle and again took snaps with the first-team offense.

Quarterback Colt McCoy, who replaced an ineffective Kirk Cousins after halftime in the Redskins' Week 7 win against the Titans, has helped the Redskins win their past two games, including Monday night's overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Colt led them to 2 wins and they have a bye next week. It doesn't make sense to me.

but it'll still raise McCoys stock for next year as RG3 will continue to fizzle.

I doubt RG3 will finish the season, most likely we will see McCoy again

not a RG3 fan but if he is healthy you go back to him.

Colt isn't the real McCoy. You play RG3 and see if he can possibly be.

With Djax arrival, Garcon healthy, Reeds back I mean they have weapons. You gotta just let RG3 putup or shutup rather than talk yourself into a stopgap.

Colt McCoy had a great game last week. But he's Colt McCoy, a proven mediocrity or worse in the NFL over time. When a stud like RG3 is available, and healthy, he plays over Colt McCoy. Every time. Any Coach that doesn't make that decision is not long for being a HC. Those that would start McCoy likely thought Kirk Cousins can play. :think2:
