well lets take a look at the Chiefs first half progress and the second half outlook.
i never thought that they would even have a winning record at this point if the season.i follow my team closely and looking at their schedule before the season started i didn't expect much,but then after they lost their whole offensive line to free agency i was really not expecting much.then came the injuries to the key players,Derrick Johnson-out for the season,Mike Devito defensive end-out for the season,linebacker Joe Mays-out for season,d-back Sanders Cummings-out for season,Dexter mCcluster let go to Tennessee,Jaamal Charles was out for a bit,Brandon Flowers d-back let go to the Chargers,Dwayne Bowe was suspended for the first game,and still they sport a 5-3 record.
now seeing all this before the season started i figured no way they would win 9 games this year so i bet under8.5 total wins,well that may not be looking to good at this point.
here's a look at the first half
didn't think they would ever beat New England
didn't think they would beat Miami at Miami
never expected them to beat San Diego at San Diego
was up in the air with St Louis but thought they would lose that one and they won
in all reality they should have also beat Denver
now a look at the second half
at Buffalo this week,well they usually have issues with Buffalo but the way they are playing they could win.
next Seattle comes to town and i definately expected a loss but the way Seattle has been playing i don't know.
then they go to Oakland,should beat them
then Denver comes in and we played them tough up there so they may have a shot at home against them.
up next they head to Arizona which i expect them to lose
then they have Oakland again,tough to beat a team twice a season but this is Oakland
after that they go to Pittsburgh and the way they are playing it may be a loss going there
then to finish out the season San Diego comes to KC and will be looking for revenge and maybe a playoff spot so this will be a tough competitive game.
so the outlook looks like it can go either way,they can easily go 5-3 and they also can go 3-5,..i guess im going to have to live on the edge for the final 8 games, but i can't say it won't thrill me to see them make the playoffs again,and by some chance they get a game at home i will definalely be going to it.
