Never heard of it.

Most things cooked in a crockpot are very good though

The crockpot is one of the few good things about winter. Have a ton of recipes.

But NOT a root beer pulled pork one.

I get a 3 or 4 lb pork shoulder or butt (if im only serving a couple people). I leave the string on for the first few hours. I rub the outside of the pork butt with brown sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder. Feel free to use sliced onion or garlic cloves if you prefer. I place the butt in the crock pot and add 20 ozs of a/w root beer(non diet). I cook on low for 1 hr and high for 1 hr. I flip the meat and repeat. once at the 4 hour mark I will take the butt out and shred it. I add it back to the root beer for another 1-2 hrs. Normally for the last 30 mins I will drain out most of the rootbeer and add a bottle of sweet and spicy rays bbq sauce (I have noticed though the heat makes the bbq sauce a little too runny for me). so next time I make this, im going to leave the meat in the root beer for the 6 hrs, drain and have the bbq sauce on the side instead of in the crock pot. this way the bbq sauce will remain thicker when eating

the root beer tenderizes the meat very well and gives it a nice unique sweet taste. Pairing it with the spicy bbq sauce gives you a nice mix of flavors. I like to serve it on the Hawaiian sweet rolls. These sandwiches got crushed at my superbowl party
