2 Charlotte money line -125
Hornets have struggled. The Heat have over achieved at 3-1. The Heat should have lost at home to the Raptors and then they were killed at home to the Rockets in the 4th quarter...a bit of a revenge game for Charlotte. Charlotte played the Heat well last year. Al Jefferson avg 21.4 and 12.1 against the Heat in his last 7 against them.

1
Magic -2.5
The Magic's record may be a bit misleading. The Magics have played the Bulls, Wizard, Raptors, Mavericks, and Hornets. The 76ers have lost to the Pacers, Bucks, and Pistons.

2 Timberwolves +5
Even at just 1-2 the T-Wolves have looked better than most expected. The Nets just don't pass the eye test for me. I think Minnesota is better. Minnesota hasn't played since Nov 1st.

1 Pistons -4
The triangle has been something that comes and goes for the Knicks, most of the time they revert back to 1 on 1 basketball and take tough shots. The Pistons are 0-3. Thanks to SVG's coaching Jennings has been much improved. Same old Knicks while the Pistons are better than last year.

1 Bucks +5.5
The Bucks are due for a home win against the Bulls, or at least a competitive game.

3 Teaser ties win* 4.5 points Wizards and Spurs. Wizard -5 and Spurs -3
Like both these teams winning but the Spurs haven't been great but its the Spurs at home coming off 4 days rest . The Wizard have to beat this Pacers team at home, even if it isn't the same exact team that knocked them out of the playoffs, the Pacers are decimated with injuries.

Wizard/Spurs Teaser should be 1 star* not 3. The Hawks are playing the champs they should play well against the Spurs. Spurs haven't been sharp to start the season. The Spurs are coming off 4 days rest, the Hawks 3 days rest.

A Disappointing night. The Magic(-2.5) only won by 2. The Pistons(-4) easily handled the Knicks but let them come back late in the 4th and only won by 3. That's gambling.

1 Rockets -6

The Rockets are playing the champs at home on national television. The Spurs haven't been crisp, they just got Kawhi back from injury last night so that's to be expected. The Spurs were slow on rotations last night and were at times slow getting back. Houston has been the best team in the early goings of this 14-15 season. The bottom line is the Rockets are firing on all cylinders and the Spurs aren't.

Rockets won by 17

1 star selections 2-4

3 Minnesota -3

The T-wolves were supposed to be worse without Kevin Love but at the start of the 14-15 season that hasn't been the case. Minnesota has been very impressive so far. Wiigins is coming off his first good game of the season and he looked like a #1 overall pick, he took it to the rim making tough shots and sized up the defender before making jumps shots(plural) over them. Bennett has been anything but a bust. This team hasn't played together for long. I expect them to surprise a lot of people this year.

4 Memphis/OKC under 184

Memphis' defense is for real. OKC has to realize their only chance of beating Memphis is to clamp down on D. OKC has the home crowd behind them so I expect they will play as hard as ever after having 4 of their first 5 on the road. Tony Allen presumably would guard Reggie Jackson. I don't know where the points are coming from if Memphis plays D the way they have to start the season.

3 Pacers/Celtics over 193.5

1 Celtics -4

Brad Stevens spent the off season planning to emulate the Spurs formula for success. The Celtics are all about 3's and lay ups. Offense play has been his focus for the team so far. Lay-ups may be tough to come by with Hibbert guarding the rim. The Pacer's are absolutely decimated by injuries. The Celtics went 1-25 from 3 against the Rockets earlier this season and haven't shot the 3 well overall.

1 Toronto -4

The Raptors are clearly the better team right now from what I've seen. The reason for concern? Toronto has played 11/1, 11/2, 11/4, 11/5 and now 11/7...that's a lot of games.

1 Cavs/Nuggets over 210.5

Last time Lebron had a bad game he came out like gangbusters the following game. The Nuggets don't have anyone that can guard Lebron, Galinari isn't 100% or good on D, and Chandler isn't exactly a lock down defender. I don't know how the Cavs defense will play but I expect moving the ball on offense and getting that side shored up to be the priority after a game where the entire team had 6 assists. The Nuggets were just dominated at Sacramento giving up 130 points. I don't know how good Denver is and I don't think their coach does either...they have 11 guys playing double digit minutes on a per game basis and another guy averaging 9.8 minutes. Denver is experimenting with a lot of different line ups they are not where they need to be yet.

This number has dropped considerably from -160.

1
Dallas moneyline(-135)

The starters all played between 25-29 minutes last night in Portland. Sure its a back to back but Dallas had 11/4 and 11/5 off and with the limited minutes the starters played last night its not that bad. I like Dallas tonight as a great value pick. This is one of the best coached teams in the league they should bounce back just fine. Utah has been better than expected this season Gordan Hayward and Derrick Favors are playing great so far with PERs of 24.2 and 28.6 respectively. Trevor Booker in 23mpg has a 21.6 PER. I think we've seen the best of Utah until Dante Exum gets the experience he needs to potentially be a great player.

1 Chicago -9

It has been reported Rajon Rondo will miss the Celtics game at Chicago. Marcus Smart has played poorly so far this year, still, having him out really cuts down on their depth. Chicago let Philly sneak back in the game last night. Boston's defense is bad. Threes and layups are the kind of shot Chicago defends well against. The reason this isn't higher than a 1 star selection is because its the Bulls 4th game in 5 nights.

Toronto crushed Washington, they covered. The Celtic did not cover only winning by 3. We got the over in the Celtics game. Barely won Cavs/Nuggets over 210.5. Minnesota lost Rubio and lost the game at Orlando. Memphis/OKC went under 184 despite some great 3 point shooting. Dallas bounced back and won easily at Utah.

2 Minnesota +7.5

Minnesota lost Rubio so, predictably, the public has been siding with a well rested Heat team. Minnesota is the more athletic team and the bigger team. Minnesota has been a good rebounding team before being out rebounded by 14 last night. I expect Minnesota to return to their rebounding ways against a smaller Miami team. Miami hasn't gotten McRoberts going, he looks uncomfortable out there right now. Deng has ok numbers but he hasn't fit well with the Heat yet. Chalmers and Norris Cole have played exceptionally well for Miami, I'm skeptical they can keep it up.
