He passed the litmus test to be the number one guy in Philly, but the real test comes next week at Green Bay.....he showed me that he was the guy who won a couple playoff games for the Jets a couple years ago....gotta make him the comeback candidate for 2014....he showed remarkable toughness and awareness....just hope he doesn't get hurt or the Eagles might sign Jaws...:neenee:

If sanchez can keep the turnovers to a minimum...he will be very successful in philly. I was hoping he would be the starter since camp. Always disliked foles game.

Sanchez has tools, and since he isn't with a moron head like rex ryan....he will flourish. By no means is he brady or manning but he is better than foles.

Sanchez is much better than people think. He will be the steal of last years off season

I agree. I think personally he was a typical 22 year old with the Jets and a defensive head coach that doesn't care too much about offense doesn't help. Lets put a new 22 year old millionaire with Mexican heritage that is considered good looking in New York City. I would have been a mess. Not everyone is Eli Manning and has that kind of pedigree.

Do you have to use the race card with everything ??

I can't be the only one who thinks next week isn't the litmus test for Sanchez it's really a litmus test for the Eagles pass rush and secondary. Sanchez can clearly play the position and has a ton of weapons. But both teams are going to score points in bunches, it's whether or not the Eagles can replicate that smash and grab pass rush they used against Cam when facing the always elusive Aaron Rodgers. And whether the CB's can hold Jordy Nelson in check. This game will be decided by which defense can keep the other team under 31 points.

One game in a career of suck does not a litmus test make. Markie has had good games before. Jamarcus Russel had some good games. So did Ryan Leaf. Browning nagle's 1st start as a Jet was HOF caliber. Until Sanchez does it for more than a few games, and consistently, I'll count on him to be Mark Sanchez and break his backers hearts.

Why all the sanchez hate guess? I trust him way more than Foles. I don't think sanchez is the best qb in the league by any means but the eagles can make a deep run with him under center.

Foles's year last year was something Sanchez can only dream about. He was due for a bit of a fall, but I'd still take him over Sanchez in a heartbeat. When Sanchez gets panicky and indecisive, he's a special breed of suck. Maybe he's cured of that, but after watching him for 4 years as a J-E-T, where his highest yearly QB rating was 78, it's going to take a WHOLE LOT MORE than 1 great game to convince me he's a different guy.

Foles had a great year last year...a bit fake though. He had more dropped int's last year than I've ever seen. Foles has been a turn over machine this year because he shits his pants and throws off his back foot when pressured. I don't think foles will take another snap for the eagles.

Has any qb ever had any success under any coach with the last name Ryan? This system fits him well and he should flourish

You've just described Sanchez's history. Sanchez is no doubt getting the chance to resurrect his career, and he may very well do it. I think Kelly is a great Offensive mind, and he may be able to salvage Sanchez. My point is I need to see him do it consistently before I'm convinced. I generally stick to a guy's, and a teams long term history to decide what they are or aren't, rather than a game or 2.

Actually buddy would tell randall to make 3 plays a game and his defense would do the rest. And while randall had some success under buddy, it was limited and never did a thing in the playoffs. Randalls most productive season was in minny.

I think a qb's success in this league, with a few exceptions, is the system and the coaching staff. Sanchez dealt with ryan's nonsense and still managed to beat manning and brady in the playoffs. Granted, he was a game manager but for some reason everyone points out his failures and none of his success. I don't think the eagles have a chance to win a super bowl with foles but I think they can with sanchez. He will have his ups and downs I'm sure but I'm glad he's in there. Reports were that chip was souring on foles before his injury anyway.
