I voted no... But I think it's time he take less shots, and tries to get his team-mates more involved... if that will ever happen

count me in for no....why would he retire? he is certainly not in his prime, and I dont particuarly like him personality wise....but still a solid player. i honestly didn't expect him to play as well as he has at least so far this year...

He has some game left.. needs a new co-leader more than likely on a different team to kick in any mojo..

He has the right to play as long as He wants..... that should not be a question. The big mistake is any team willing to pay him 50 Million a year to play. Lakers will be nothing UNTIL Kobe's salary is off the Lakers cap space !

Lakers aren't going to win this year. Any chance they trade him so he can finish out on top with a contender? They have to know they have no shot... Would a team do that for a legend that has been with one squad his whole life?

He has nobody worth a crap who can help.

Therefore, he has to take most of the shots & carry the load.

Currently the NBA's leading scorer so I say no he shouldn't retire unless he's just fed up with losing.

Some are going to mention he leads the league in scoring but shooting a horrible percentage, but I say 2 things to that:

1. His shots come tougher because every team knows he is the only threat
2. 3/4 of the NBA's players could take just as many shots as he does and STILL not score at the clip he's putting up per game

He should retire or ask to be let out of his contract - finishing last and paying Kobe 20 mil is not worth it to LA - and finishing last is not worth it for Kobe - we will take him in SA and we will have a 5 guard mix - I'm already nervous that Waiters is not gonna make the cut in Cleveland and u just know that cry baby is gonna go out of his way to get Kobe on the Cavs

Jeremy Lin and Boozer (the only other two guys on the Lakers that are worth anything) calling out Kobe for playing like a dickhead.

Most of the time, a teammate questioning Kobe Bryant’s methods would be insanity. In this case, it’s Linsanity. Jeremy Lin questioned Bryant’s shot selection after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 136-115 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, though Lin wasn’t foolish enough to single out Bryant by name. It wasn’t difficult to decipher who Lin was talking about, though, after Bryant jacked up 34 shots — en route to scoring a game-high 44 points — in the defeat. “The game of basketball is … we’ve got to do it together,” Lin told ESPN.com’s Baxter Holmes. “It can’t be … if I go into a game concerned about myself, then in some ways that’s detrimental to the team. … There’s so many things wrong right now. At the top of the list, I would say communication, trust and effort.” Lakers forward Carlos Boozer also hinted that Bryant’s solo act hurt the team’s offensive rhythm. “A lot of times we run a set, but Kobe is extremely aggressive,” Boozer told reporters. “And then we try to hit the glass, get it off the glass. We’ve got to find a balance. It can’t be lopsided.” While it might be easy to disregard the comments of Lin and Boozer, who have five fewer championship rings combined than Bryant has himself, Lakers TV analysts (and past NBA champions) James Worthy and Robert Horry also raised concerns on-air over Bryant’s approach. Horry noted “there is no flow. … It’s Kobe this, Kobe that, and you can see the frustration in the other guys.” Bryant, for his part, doesn’t seem to regret firing away with reckless abandon. But he’s not completely deflecting blame, either. “This responsibility, it’s on me,” Bryant said, via ESPN.com. “When things go good, it’s ‘us.’ When things go bad, it’s ‘me.’”
