When I was younger I played a football game on the computer.it wasn't like madden, you don't control the players.you are the coach and you print up an offense and defense play book from the computer.the computer simulates the plays you pick and tells you how many yards you gain each play.you can play individual games or a whole season.does anyone know of any games like this.any input would be greatly appreciated.thanks

when I was younger I played a football game. it had a huge plastic field that you put on the floor. It had plastic players, two of the defensive players (linebackers) where placed on metal wheels so you could push them towards the running back to make a tackle. the running back had a white motor that was wind up and you set up all your players (the other ones did not move) and then the linebackers would try to break through the set up to get to the moving runing back. for passing there was a QB a bit taller than the other players with an arm that with a spring you could throw if you set up a passing play for example. it was not a complicated game but a child friend and I have fond memories and Ive been looking for it many times thrift stores, some ebay. but I really dont know what it is called. I know my mother bought it found it at a Sears outlet one time, when I got it I had never heard of it (of course at the same time electric football was all the rage) this is not electric football. I had the only one I ever saw no other buddies had this game.

it had a kicker not like a big super toe (also popular at that same time) smaller but some way to kick a small Styrofoam football for FGs...

any memories or hints.

circa 1977 ish?
