Arizona State looks to be starting a D1 hockey program

With the help of a 32 million donation


Penn State got like 68 million to get started from Mr Buffalo Sabers and Bills owner Pegula

And UConn has moved up to Hockey East and now has scholarships

I believe ASU already has a hockey program; think I remember them playing UNLV at Fiesta Rancho a while back.

Moving to D-1...... Was only a club sport before.


Gonna be hard for them to find opponents.

Yeah they have a ACHC team moving up to the NCAA

What woman's sport will they add to stay compliant w/ Title IX?

Btw, I hate Title IX and think it's a detriment to men's sports and - in the name of "fairness" - has screwed men's sports. Revenue producing sports should not be included in the Title IX math...

We won the title last year. Have plenty of players who were offered D-1 scholis that walked on to play here..We should be real competitive

They added women's sand volleyball last year so no need to add more

Seriously? That's like, what, 4 scholarships? Compared to how many for a hockey team? The math doesn't add up.
