My 1st Vegas Trip...

Confession: I've never been to Vegas....

I'm slightly embarrassed by this, but changing it next month. Going for the big 3-0.

Going out there for 8 days, 7 nights... I'd like recommendations, tips, ect...

I already have flight and hotel.... Food wise, I love hole in the wall places to love the best steakhouses. I'm really looking forward to the food in Vegas. Give me your recommendation, can't eat at $50+ plate every meal so looking forward to mixing it up.

Entertainment I also need your help. I don't mind spending money on experiences.... Obviously everyone has different taste, but if there's something you've done or always wanted to do share. There seems to be so much to do there, it's easy to overlook it. I don't care for strip clubs though. Also since none of us are big gamblers, I imagine we will spend a lot of our time doing different types of attractions/tours/shows... More recommendations the better...

It's 4 of us going, Wife and I, my best friend and his wife.... They love to drink/bar hop/club... They will only be around for the weekend. The rest of the time it will just be the Wife and I.

Play pai gow poker at a place downtown with cheap table minimums. You all can sit around a table together like you're at a bar but get free drinks and not spend any more even if you lose than you would if you were buying the drinks at a bar. It's a community game and even the women can't fuck it up because they can ask the dealer(s) to set their hand.

If you ever want a drink and you aren't playing a table game, go bet $10 to show on the biggest favorite you can find to show in the racebook; they love horse bettors.

Any restaurants in Caesers or directly on the strip is going to be overpriced.

Have fun. It's the best place ever if you're a gambler.

Ask for an entire years advance from the RX, then take everybody out to dinner.

I hope you enjoy yourself, it's nearly impossible not to have a good time out there.

this was going to be my recommendation right off the bat and right in the price range.i never miss a stop there when in vegas,ive simply made it my best steakhouse and have been to several,and im not saying they were bad or anything but the steakhouse at circus circus is my favorite

rent a car and head out to hoover dam .. go see one of the cirque shows. just about every hotel has one . was just there last weekend

If you want a hole-in-the-wall bar, go to the Stage Door behind Flamingo's and by the Westin on E. Flamingo Road. Love it there. Cheap beer, $1 hot dogs. It's an ironworkers place. People are great there. Have some slot machines and a drug store in the back. Never had a bad experience in that joint, even though it's as close to a "townie" bar as you'll find near the strip.

I had great luck out there playing hold em bonus. One dealer recommended I bet every hand blindly and bet every turn as well. Just my hand against his. I won 14 out of 15 hands.

Don't stumble out of the Venetian at 4am hailing a cab and asking the driver if he can get you an 8 ball. He will likely take you to a escort biz located in a shit hole. When you ask them where the coc is they will require you to pay 150 to see a girl in the back. 250 later you're pissed and demanding coc when you get kicked out and escorted to the back door. There waiting is the same mother fucker that dropped you off and miraculously can get coc now. So you over pay 240 for the 8 and are now 500 deep on something that should have cost you no more than 180. Don't do that.

See th show at the Wynn that starts at 8pm at night. It's a different show they rotate through but the one with the frog that sings what a beautiful world is worth seeing
