truly some very sad news for him.he is such a good player and person and i only wish the best for him.as a chiefs fan he will be missed down the stretch here trying for the playoffs.like he said today nothing is going to stand in his way of beating this horrible disease.

I am truly thankful for all of the support from family, friends, coaches, teammates and the entire Chiefs kingdom. At first I was in shock with the diagnosis on Saturday and did not even want to miss a game, but I understand that right now I have to concentrate on a new opponent. I have great confidence in the doctors and the plan they are going to put in place for me to win this fight. I believe that I am in God’s hands and I have great peace in that. I know my coaches and teammates will hold things down here the rest of the season and until I am back running out of the tunnel at Arrowhead. I am so thankful and appreciative of being a part of this franchise and playing in front of the best fans in the NFL. I will be back!”

Terrible is a little strong. If you are going to be unlucky enough to get cancer, you want to be lucky enough to get lymphoma. He will have a few not so great months ahead of him, but he should be fine.

I was diagnosed with lymphoma in April (and a cancer free scan in Oct) so I have a pretty good idea what lays ahead for him. I wish him the best.

Thanks PF, lymphoma is very treatable. And in Berrys case, because hes in such good shape, his body should be able to handle most of the treatment that hes given. I was pretty lucky, i didnt have any nausea, just got tired and lost my hair

Does he have cancer? Can't imagine to feel a mass in my chest. I feel my head all the time because my hairgirl told me I have a lump in it but I think I have had for years.
