Yeah, there's no defending not paying child support. I don't necessarily think it means he's a terrible father, though. They even had a quote from the mother saying as much. “I don’t consider him a deadbeat dad,” Channing Smythe told the Daily News. “I know he loves and cares for his daughter and he is there for her. I just need him to help me financially.”

Well, the court saw the case and settled on a payment and that payment isn't happening. Can't really blame the mom.
