I know its completely subjective and there is no right or wrong answer but for me its gotta be Bruce Springsteen.

I have never been able to figure out why people like this guy.

There are other singers that I don't like but I can at least understand why some people like ZZ Top for example.

But I just don't see anything about Bruce Springsteen that is vaguely likable.

Maybe part of the problem is I was not around during his prime.

But I have heard all his old stuff and just don't see it at all.

The guy is not a great singer.
His songs are bland.

Other then a few songs on his born in the USA album like Glory Days, and Dancing in the Dark, they are hard to listen to.

Anyway I'm sure I just offended some people.

You can't be overrated unless you have a fan base. Obviously there are people out there that like him otherwise he can't be overrated.

As far as bands go I hate RUSH and Def Leppard. Never understood the fascination with those 2. Especially RUSH.

Say that to Jersey people. Springsteen is still the #1 guy in Jersey. Concert tickets go up, sold out in 10 minutes. Give him credit for still rockin at his age. Use to go see him play in the bars in Asbury Park back in the day, great back then and great today.

Completely wrong on Bruce and rush. If you don't like it you don't like it but rush has music that is alot more complex then your average rock band. I give them a ton of credit. I'll throw a name into the I dont get it ring is "the who" for me..music isn't anything special imo..all the cheesy 80's rock bands stink as well (foreigner, journey, Styx, scorpions , def lep etcetc) that music is wildly popular still in behind the times pittsburgh

Never liked the boss but Rush is one of the most talented bands ever. Neal Peart is the best drummer of all time so its kinda hard to say they suck.

And I would say springsteen is one of the most misunderstood artists of all time . He's not the Americana every day joe guy like everyone thinks. Even his biggest song born in the USA, most people misunderstand it. Another thing is that his best work is not the work most people associate him with.

I never understood the popularity of Pink Floyd or The Grateful Dead. I'd rather listen to Edie Brickell's greatest hits than any of those band's songs.

I have never listened to a Rush song for more than 20 seconds, every time I hear that ear-crushing voice, I have to shut it off or leave the room.

Never understood why anyone listens to the Grateful Dead either...
