Last weekend, a protest regarding the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri happened before the Raiders-Rams game. This weekend, a protest will happen outside the Seahawks-Eagles game, outside Lincoln Financial Field.
According to NBC Philadelphia, a “die in” for Brown and Eric Garner, both of whom died during altercations with police, will occur after Sunday’s game.
Protesters will lay in the street at a busy intersection outside the stadium for four minutes and 30 seconds, symbolizing the four hours and 30 minutes Brown lay dead in the street in Ferguson.
Grand juries in the last two weeks have declined to indict police officers in connection with the death of Brown and Garner, sparking protests throughout the country. Brown died from a shooting in Ferguson, and Garner died after having a choke hold applied to him in Staten Island.
