Leaving for 8 days and wanted my energetic Pup to have more attention than a kennel and a back yard to run around in... Found Rover.com....

Was stoked... Contact a couple people, all wrote back. Choose one, my only concern was that she had a 16 year old toy poodle, and I was worried my pup would be way to energetic for her. She assured me it'd be okay. I went to go pay and she was like for your peace of mind, come do a meet and greet with all the dogs. WHEW am I glad I did... She also had a Pit... First minute I'm there the dogs are playing ( pit, mine and another she is sitting) My dog could care less about the toy poodle which was my only initial concern. Lady is going on about how much her pit loves company. Within a minute of saying that I see the pit getting irritated with the other dog because it's trying to play with mine... I ask is she normally like that.. Oh no, that's the most aggressive I've seen her... Not 30 secs after that the pit starts snapping at the other dog she is sitting... WTF...

I made the mistake of assuming all the people on this site would have a suitable place for my dog, i'm certainly not the overprotective type. I'm hoping the next experience will be better, I was excited to use this as an alternative to kennels.
