Mr. Betall, you get my PM?

Are we going to have a college bowl board like last year?

Think it was a confidence-based point system on all the bowl games?

I'd like it. Really enjoyed the Regular season contest.

Working on a Rank The Bowls (with a twist). Ironing out details with BAS. First game is Dec 20th.

Here is something interesting that I thought of but have never seen.
You have your pick vs spread contests
and pick straight up ,which I hate because so often you are forced to
take a favorite when you would prefer to take the dog if you could get some points.
The risk vs reward is not there to pick dogs.

So I thought what if each team were assigned a point value that closely resembled the money line odds,
For example

Say 2 teams are a pickem . You could take either side and score 1 point.
Say Team A is a 4 to 1 favorite. You could take Team A and score .25 points or go with team B and score 1 if they win.

Ok I need some feedback. Last year we charged a $35 entry fee and paid top 3 --- 60/30/10. Do we stick with $35 or maybe up it to $50? BAS will handle the money and will accept P A Y * * L or Money Order, preference to the former. It's a Rank the Bowls similar to past years attaching confidence points 1 to 25.

Let me know how much we should ante up.

i like $50, but would prefer each game to be worth the same if it were up to me

or you need to pick a certain number of games....i.e., select 20 teams that you think will cover and you get 1 point per win, etc

regardless of format, this would be fun....thanks to the RX BAS and JOH for organizing!

I'm in..vote for 50..one thing I didn't like last year was how the games were weighted in brackets of five with higher values for later games. If I want to risk it all on Pitt in a toilet ball I should be able to. Would reward best overall rather the grade on a curve towards primetime games.

yea i agree on just having a point for each win instead of the confidence thing.as we know in college anyone can upset anybody and if thats your biggest win for you then its most likely a wash for you no matter what you do in the others.....maybe im wrong but i just like the pick and win the same for each game played,....jmo
