Is a tip expected? How much do you tip? Needed a jump start this morning and wasn't sure if tip was expected or he is just doing his job.

I would not tip him just for a jump start. Like you said he was doing his job. It would be different if he does something extra.

Recent my girlfriend ran over a nail and called AAA and myself. AAA got there at the same time I did. The guy said they usually do not fix tires but for an extra ten bucks he would fix the tire. I gave him a twenty and told him to keep the change.

This tipping bullshit has gotten out of control. I went into my dry cleaner the other day and there was a tip jar on the counter. People want something extra for doing there jobs, fuck that. I am a fairly large tipper when I go out to eat or get a haircut, but a tip for handing me my clothes and hitting my card for $125, keep dreaming.

I like going to Jersey Mikes for a sub sandwich. It's about $10 for a sandwich and chips which is fine. But then I niticed a tip jar the other day where you pay. doesnt make sense. Like Desert Nole said people are looking for a tip to do their job.

if you can afford tipping and the person is extra nice fast and knowledgeable is a good deed on your part

I usually give them $5. I had one lesbian come out to jump my battery. I didn't tip her. Not because she was a lesbian but because she wasn't very friendly.

These

The attitude of the individual means almost as much as their job performance. A person with a bad attitude just blew any possible tip they would of received from me.
