a) surprising he couldnt do better. i'd think there'd be a bunch of non-power 5 teams who'd hire him. maybe he wanted YTown?
b) nice records but it *IS* the big10 which, in Bo's tenure, had....2 and perhaps 3 good teams during that time (OSU, MSU, Wisky). Basically Nebrask defaulted to 6 weeks just by getting to play IU, Ill, Min (improving though!), Purdont, NW (used to be good I guess), Iowa, Mich (they've fallen off worse than Texas) each year along with chumps like MD and Rutgers they added.......and then throw in a Southern Miss, UAB and Chocktaw State for non-conf.....

That piece of shit needs to stay outta the spotlight for a while so people can forget about him, let others dominate the front page.

He'll probably work the Youngstown gig for 2-3 years until he gets some mojo back, and then take a juicy DC job somewhere.

He is a head case. Those types normally do not last very long. I am suprised he made it this far. Many at Nebraska hated him.

Plus nobody even wanted the TARD !!!

Revisionist bullshit. Most of the fan base was clamoring for him to repeat the turnaround the D had in his 1 year stint as DC in 2003. The 2007 D was in such shambles, the masses were begging for him. He did it too both times. That 2007 d, iirc, gave up around 40 pts game. 2 years later they gave up 10...in the Big 12!! Problem is his recruiting wasnt good enough untill too late, so he couldnt stock the depth chart to run his system...hell, he didnt even recruit in his time at LSU, not sure about OU. It was time for him to go, but dont make things up. A lot of people liked him. He just had a hard time understanding how fans/media make a story of everything in nebraska. In the end, the fit wasnt the best long term and he has a chance to avoid the limelight and recover. This guy can coach, but his ceo skills arent good. He'll get another shot somewhere decent.

More B$ from U LEE ! The only time he had a defense with Bill C. recruits period. Most fans hated this retard in MY STATE of NEBRASKA where U come up with UR love for this IGNORANT IDIOT. Tom Shatell from the Omaha WH states largest newspaper went after him and said enough was enough of this decenting crisis. He will not get a Big time coaching job arrogant retard. He doesn't know anything except about cats. Nobody even looked @ him except YSt.. Maybe a job coaching Costa Rica screaming & yelling team. Remember he said fck those NE.Fans. NO BO see U !!!!!! Hell maybe Lee u can get him a job in CR lol.

So you guys that follow the Corn program closely, how do you think this Pelini firing impacts their bowl game against USC? Seems like a lot of points for SC to be playing with their suspect run D, but this is a step up in class from Big 10 to PAC 12 with the game out on the west coast.

If you believe the Pelini firing will have a huge impact then USC is probably the play. But on paper these two teams are pretty close. USC's SOS gives them a bit of an advantage. But how much of one, 6, 7 10 points? And if you want to take a guess at the excitement factor, how excited will USC be to be playing in the Holiday Bowl? That part I don't know. But I do know that 91% of the public is on the Trojans and the ESPN talking heads are asking USC to drop their drawers so they can each get in line for a blow job.
