No joke, but it didnt happen recently.
Once when I was a bigger degenerate than now I was in Tunica heading west and lost all my money.
I drove 60 miles to Memphis to sell my plasma(not a tv by the way,blood) got a whopping $20 bucks and drove
back to Tunica with hopes of turning this into a big score.
Lasted 2 rolls in craps.
Had to resort to plan c which involved heading back to Memphisand working in a car wash for a month to replenish my funds.
I would make those tires look like fucking mirrors, pardon my language

I knew what you meant ... that's why I asked if it was a joke.
that's messed up ^^^^, but guess you have to do, what you have to do to get by..
luckily it didn't ruin xmas but has me reconsidering buying the new surfboard I just checked out in pacific beach....they want $700 without fins which now feels like $1120 after I had already counted the $200 I was gonna collect on WK!
ended up just buying some fins for my 5 year old and a full wetsuit for my 2 year old...might go back for the board later today...not sure
