They should be firing all of their "quarterbacks"

Demote Rex to defensive coordinator, fire the GM, hire offensive minded head coach and keep drafting a qb every year until you get it right. Notice the guys getting fired all have shit quarterbacks.

Rex is a qb killer just like his dad.

I'm not a Rex Ryan fan, he annoys the shit out of me, but he can coach (for the most part) - hopefully he will get a chance that already has a good offense, so he can improve the defense. One of these teams should take him; ATL, Chicago or SF.

I don't understand all the love for sexy rexy. To begin with, as Bill Parcells used to say, you are what your record is and Rex's record is not that good.

He's a lose cannon, his players act like he does. He's lost control of the locker room at times with dissension making it into the press. That's not good coaching

When he was successful in his first two years, it was about running first and defense. Then in year three he decides they want more of a west coast offense, baddafuckingbing it was a complete and utter failure and they never recovered. That's pure idiocy

How about playing your starting QB in the 4th qtr of your last exhibition game? because he "wanted to beat the Giants"? how fucking stupid is that? So he plays his starting QB behind and offensive line that's going to get cut the next day and winds up losing him for the season. Is that good coaching?

He guaranteed back to back to back Super Bowl wins, does he even understand how hard it is to win? or does he like looking like an asshole? Bill Belichick and the Patriots occupy his mind 24/7/365

I think he's an idiot that made many poor decisions over the years who can't control the locker room, he's not a good head coach, he's 46-50 overall, 18-30 the last two years and his team is regressing both offensively and defensively.

When he was successful in his first 2 years it was because they had Darrelle Revis and Sanchez hadn't really regressed as much. Those were the main differences from the first 2-3 years and after that. Just like NE D was pretty weak from '08-12 and now with Revis they have 1 of the best in the league, funny how that works.

Pretty much no coach in the modern day NFL is going to have sustained success with poor QB play, see SF this year. Defense can only carry you for so long until some regression sets in through free agency, injuries, talent falling off due to short shelf life, etc

He needs to go the Jack Del Rio route and be a defensive coordinator for a team with a superstar qb because he clearly knows little about quarterbacks. Drafts well on defense, couldn't get crap on offense. Not sure if they ever have had a good pick on offense besides Mangold.

Well he wasn't the GM so he didn't do any of the good drafting on defense or the bad drafting on offense.

If he was the GM no way Revis gets traded. If Rex knew 1 thing, it was how important Revis was to that scheme and defense as a whole.

I know but I am sure he had some serious input. That is why defense was always good and offense never had a single playmaker.

I think this is one reason the Patriots have dominated the division for so long. Who is the best quarterback in the last 12 years in the AFC East besides obviously Brady? Bills, Dolphins, Jets none have ever had a long term solution at quarterback. Best one may have been Chad Pennington and his 17 shoulder surgeries on an already weak arm in the northeast didn't help.

Of course....Having a edge at QB over a long period of time is massive when most other NFL advantages are susceptible to parity/leveling off (assistant coaches leaving for better jobs, free agency, lower draft picks, injuries)

If there was no salary cap the top QBs would command 50-60 million a year.

AFC east been pretty much abysmal at QB

Belichick did it with Matt Cassell.

Granted Ryan has had less to work with than Bill, but so have 30 other coaches year after year and there are a lot of successful teams out there year after year.

The opposition figures out the Ryans after just a couple of years........Lets not go through this again......

Yeah that was a nice theory you madeup, can you trademark something like that?

It is almost like there is overwhelming evidence teams without good offenses tend to have trouble sustaining success in the NFL.

I'm just waiting for it to be approved by the courts.....or you could just go to his and his brothers coaching history......it's available on that Google thing.......

You're welcome sir.
