You can't watch or listen to any type of sports programming without hearing or seeing these ads from one company or the other. Just makes me wonder how much do these companies make. Naturally the NFL season is the greatest moneymaker for these two companies. So what's your guess as to how much money these companies are making. It has to be in the multi millions a week for these companies. What's your guess? I'll bet it's around 5 million a week during the NFL season!

Earning or Revenue?

Revenue is growing around 3-5x a year but given acquisition and retention costs neither 1 of them is profitable yet (although their business valuations have obviously grown)

Valuation I'd say FD worth like 200M, DK maybe 120

Decent read although Rathburn has a clear bias towards DK. What he says about how to enter fanduel contests isn't even accurate.

I'm sure they make a good amount. For instance, even on the cheap $1 leagues where 80 people enter and half get paid, FanDuel is raking in $8 total each time. Those leagues fill up like hotcakes. Hundreds, probably thousands a day. And that's just low level and not including all the millions of other tourneys they offer daily, including the higher entry fee ones where I'm sure they take in a lot more.

Their business model is more similar to a tech startup so they aren't really "profiting" anything right now.

Boost valuation first and profit as industry begins to reach maturity.

The # quoted in that article is pretty lofty and ambitious though. 2.6B in revenue when industry matures, I dunno about that.

That is about a 40-50fold increase from right now. I think they are overestimating the # of people who want to play DFS. Many of the people in that 40-50 million fantasy players # are just casual players playing $50 bucks a season with friends, co-workers and family.
