Okay, for those that don't know Square Trade is a warranty place on basically everything. Computers, Phones, Appliances ect...
They are highly reviewed ect, but still, I was still unsure given that warranties are always sucker deals...
I bought $1k laptop this summer and because its touch screen / flip screen I wanted a warranty just in case. Best Buy warranty prices were ridiculous, the cost of 1 year plus didn't include drops was the price i paid for 3 years through SquareTrade with drops/spills
Fast Forward several months, I dropped my laptop and it ruined the harddrive...
I call up square trade and tell them I need to send it in for repair. They were saying they will send me a prepaid box, but because i didn't want to wait I asked them could I just pay for shipping and get reimbursed to save a couple days. The Rep then told me I could go into any computer repair place and get my laptop repaired and just send in the receipt and they would pay... Awesome!
The final bill was $400 for the repair and I'm thinking NO way is this going to be easy. So I took a picture of the receipt and sent it in. Within 5 minutes I received and email saying it's been inputted. So I called them up to ask whats next. They reviewed the information, took about 10 minutes, and then approved the request. I can be Paid via Pa*pal and recieved the funds in 3 days.
Customer for life...
Only catch for those curious is you have to purchase your warranty within 30 days of the day you bought the item.
