As my first full year of being a full fledged NHL fan, I know nothing about NHL's all star festivities. I know their is skill competitions...

How is all this to watch? And More importantly, can you bet on it.

What is the actual all star game like, high scoring no defense like Pro Bowl/NBA? Does anyone care about the game?

Zero defense is played. 5 dimes may have all star festivity props. There will be game lines, using a fantasy draft format and not conferences.

Well, this will be the first NHL All Star Game since 2012. It hasn't been played for 2 years. First, because of the lockout in 2013 and 2nd for the Winter Olympics.

High scoring!!!

2012 the total was 19.5 and it went over. Lol. Seriously 12-9. More results....

The total is usually around 20 and it almost always goes over. Can't go wrong betting the over in the NHL all star game. Some of the skills competitions are great, like the shooting the plates, or the shoot out elimination contest, others are lame, like the "trick" shoot out contest.

My suggestion is to bet the over.

Terrible.....Need to make a change like they did with the baseball all star game.

each his own. I kinda like it. More than any other all-star game that's for sure.

I always watch.....But this one seems to be the worst i have ever seen.

16 goals in 30 minutes is unheard of

not possible. Too much $ involved with players and contracts. No GM would go for it. Baseball players might not even touch the ball the entire game and nearly impossible to get injured. Hockey there's a good chance. Still don't know why the bother with the Pro Bowl.
