well the books dont need me anymore to encourage them to set this line and give them a number. I did invent this prop bet my one claim to fame...Its fun but I think it has jumped the Shark now with so much attention.. One reason it has jumped the shark is it is now and probably forever unless they do a large choral group the song is PRERECORDED, its not live with personal flair on the spot!. the days of 2 min 27 seconds are long over..

some books have set and you can just look it up...



My line will be posted in this Thread in a few minutes again this year we will figure out the winner based on lines and line moves we see,,

In the early days Sportsbooks world wide have actually taken my line and adjusted this and posted it as a prop wager!


I set the line and almost everyone plays it. Its fun and gets thing going. I do much research on this have extensive past records and try to set a solid line.

Warning, people tend to play the under, they can not imagine a song taking this long so you will get under action.

What also will happen is after you give the line a few people will leave the room, go "get a smoke", grab something from the car, most often "go to the bathroom". What they are really doing is singing the anthem in their heads watching a clock. They usually sing it this way in 1 min 25 seconds or so even if they think they are going slowly. so real singers do not race through this song.
So for your party you can usually hedge down a few seconds from my line ..


Anyway here it is, you will find it here only at the Rx.



(the stopwatch starts when the singer starts her first note, not background music. The stopwatch stops with the singer ends the final note of brave, multiple braves are ok but not not music, fireworks, airplanes, etc.). Good Luck guys and gals.

Careful.

I didn't bet it when she sang at The MLB All-Star Game but in another thread it was said that she came in at 1:58.

Here is the performance, looked to me like 2:01ish but its a bit hard to tell at the start, exactly when she gets her first note out.

Woops sorry I thought this was a thread where people shared thoughts about betting the anthem, like, an Anthem Handicapping Thread.

I hope that having video of the chick singing the anthem doesn't mess things up. It can't be good I guess lol. So....see if a Mod can delete it.

This might be the best illustration of that:

My first post above was when I thought this was Anthem Handicapping Thread.

Somehow I figured out it was actually an In-Forum contest thread.

partly pockets fault cuz he posted "over" which I took to be a contest selection lol.

Thus did I make the 2nd post requesting the video be removed...that, at top of contest would be "weird" at best.

Unfortunately I have concluded the line is too tight! To really have confidence in making any input.

She is about 1:58ish in that vid at this past MLB All-Star Game. Only other vid I could find was way back 2007

where she is a lot faster (1:35, 1:36ish) the quality is bad of the vid below. Thats 7 years ago too.

So her Anthem has slowed considerably. It will need to slow by another 6+ seconds to go over 2:04 from her July 2014 All-Star game performance.

well another super bowl has come and gone

hopefully everyone played over the 2 min 1 sec and 2 min 2 sec lines which while close were a little soft!



official time today rounded up was in fact 2 min 4 sec!
