I think it looks like Peyton Manning is retiring

Archie Manning was quoted as saying, that Peyton would probably make a decision in a week or 2. What's interesting about that? It is part of his contract that he gets his neck examined once a year every MARCH. I suppose it is possible he may have already done that but in previous year, he always had that done in March besides his season just ended less than 3 weeks ago.

I think he isn't quite ready yet and comes back for one more run. Even with coaching changes in Denver they have the offensive weapons to make one last run at it. Would be more surprised if he retired then if he came back.

I was saying for at least the last month of the regular season that I thought Manning had pretty much reached the point where he NEEDED to hang it up.

As far as the "one more run"..... if you are really honest...... there have not been many runs in Manning's career. One to be exact! Let's face facts. I really appreciate Manning for his character over his whole career. One of the very best REGULAR SEASON QBs of all time. BUT...... he is not, has not been, has NEVER been a big game QB. Won the one SB..... yea. But not a good record in post season. Could not beat the Gators as a Vol.

Great regular season...... great pitch man for products..... not one of the all timers in post season.

Really? So 2 other Super Bowl appearances don't count as a run? Those AFC championship game losses don't count as a run? So it is only a "run" if you win the super bowl?

What makes you say that?.....We don`t know just yet......My guess is he comes back for at least 1 more season.

New coach and all.....Why not......My opinion is we will see him next season.

He should. He looked like an old QB in the last half of the season, much like Farve looked at the end, like Moon looked at the end, like Elway looked at the end, like they all do at the end. Father time never loses.

Physically he can still play. He was clearly playing hurt the 2nd half of the season. Hell Chad Pennington could barely throw a football after his 2nd rotator cuff surgery and was still effective.

I have to blame the last few games on the injury....He did look old.

He still threw 39 TD`s....Only Luck had more with 40.

4,727 yards is 4th best.

He has 1 more good season left in the tank.

Football's great but your life is more important. Peyton has earned more money than he can ever spend. He has a seat waiting for him on Fox, ESPN or CBS.

Didn't Elway retire after winning the SB?
He went out on top,I think.
He told Father Time to shove it.

So by your estimation HOF QB Jim Kelly never made a run even though he went to 4 straight Super Bowls. No offense but your statement is pretty idiotic.

Jim Kelly is the greatest loser in the history of the NFL.
Like any sport it's all about the rings.
He was an awesome qb, but just couldn't get over the top.
He did run one very potent offense.
