As you know I handicap these races by pedigree but until we get to the classic distances pedigree or lack of pedigree doesn't stop form horses from winning.
In this race it just so happens that of the horses with the best form there is only one that meets my requirements to get the classic distances.
The form horses in here look to be Catalina Red, Ami's Flatter, My Johnny Be Good and Ocean Knight. Ami's Flatter is the only one of these that have my type of pedigree.
My other pedigree horses are Royal Son, Crittenden,Coomer and Bears Personality. So, I will try for a long shot with my pedigree horses.
1- #3 9/2 Ami's Flatter...has the breeding and looks sharp.
2- #2 8/1 Royal Son...very nice breeding but figs are not very good yet..these are young horses and may improve a whole bunch at any time.
3- #10 20/1 Coomer...was claimed for 50 Gs and takes a big jump up.
4- #12 20/1 Bears Personality...lovely pedigree..may like poly better than dirt
5- #4 15/1 Crittenden...bred for classic distance but may prefer turf..
