I can't recall any playcall worse ! Seattle has perhaps the greatest power runner that I have ever seen and they call a pass play in tight coverage from the 1 yard line ?

Between Belichek not calling a timeout and Seattle going into shotgun formation from the one yard line, my face was numb from all of the stupidity being displayed..

I thought Nationwide airing a dead kid commercial during the Super Bowl, was the worst call of all time.

without a doubt, the worst call in all of sport history. that includes all sports, male of female, pro or amateur, high school or kindergarten. i am very suspicious that a super bowl winning coach would make a play call a mental ward patient would think is insane.

Hell, if your going to pass then play action fake to Lynch and I'll wager someone is wide open in the end zone. Personally I hand off to Lynch and if that doesn't do it, then the play action on 3rd, or a bootleg with Wilson. There's really no excuses for it. Carroll has been around a long time. He should have known better...

Valium's, & opiates galore for Pete to continue coaching & try to get his mind off the biggest debacle in NFL history......boy, I just don't know how he comes back from that........I would think he would want to find a hole & jump in.

Pete will be asked a million tines why Seattle called that play........I think he would be better off saying he was smoking crack at HT & lost his brain cells than the excuse he gave, lmao......smh!

Congrats to the Patriots backers, & to one of the best qbs of all time. If Tom can win one more bowl, he will be undeniably the best ever.

His reasoning is even stupider than the play call... that they were trying to "kill the clock" and play for 3rd down. So they just throw the ball in the middle of the field to stop a clock that they let run for 30+ seconds because the Pats inexcusably didn't call a timeout.

The reasoning makes absolutely no sense. Basically he's saying it was just meant to be a wasted play.

Petey is delusional. He is arguing that it was absolutely the right call and would probably do it again. Kinda threw his players nder the bus. D coordinator gone and R wilson contract taking a bigger chunk of payroll. This team will not be in the playoffs next year.

If I'm Wilson I totally ignore the call in my headset and just hand the ball to Lynch. You just have to assume that Bevel and Carroll are on drugs at that point.

Obviously not the smartest play call..but at the same time not sure why everyone is acting shocked.. Watch any amount of nfl football and teams throw in this situation all the time. It's what the leagues turned into. Not saying I defend the call.

Throwing it, while certainly not the smartest play from the 1, with Lynch available, wasn't a horrid decision on 2nd down. Throwing a bullet, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD, was insane. Too easy to get tipped in the air, even if Butler didn't diagnose the play.

Well it was perhaps the dumbest in recent memory.

Seattle's play calls throughout the game were a bit strange. Wilson kept throwing deep when they didn't have to and they didn't run the read option much at all. That defensive formation where the line backer who can't keep up with Grong was covering him was silly too.

This was insane. What the fuck is nationwide thinking!!?!?!?

Who the hell is gonna get Nationwide now?

Even NBC, why air that garbage? Not like they are hardup for advertisers for the superbowl.

What is the commercial even saying?

Yeah your entire life has been completely devastated by tragedy but nationwide will cut you that check.
