Vernon Adams will probably start for us next year. Should be a great fit in our system..with the skill position players that are coming back, it's business as usual in Eugene..Stud QB recruit Travis Waller can sit & learn and take over in 2016...Like I have been saying, we'll be fine

Getting desperate our we? You had two chances and blew both of them. Game's over. Oregon will be a good team, but I've said it once and I will say it again. You people do not have what it takes to be a champion. FCS transfers are not the answer. Helfrich is not the answer. USC and UCLA will dominate you within two years. Oregon will not see a Playoff again for ten years.

Keep dreaming....we'll be a factor till we don't want to be a factor..btw, UCLA has never shown anyone they could be a player..especially with a coach having one eye on the NFL... We'll see about USC...so far it's all talk..

RE, I think it's a great pick up. He's proven he can play vs. D1 teams...and he was doing it with 1AA talent. I think he'll be a star in that offense. Too bad he won't be there for the spring (or too bad for him and Oregon....not their opponents).

The graduate transfer rule is great. I wonder if it will get nixed though due to transfers like this. It's a great way to fill a free agency type need: The player identifies schools that have a need at his position and he shops his services. It's a win-win for both parties.

This was huge. The kid (Vernon Adams) amassed over 15,000 yards passing EWU. He also managed to put up 52 points vs Washington last season in W3.

yea CB, this is going to be a nice 1 year bridge to Waller...at the very least this should keep us competitive...

I like anyone who beats U$C but i don't think the Ducks sniff the playoffs for a long time.

I wouldn't underestimate us....we're not going every year..I'm not going to BS myself...but still believe we'll keep reloading to make a run at it just like any other top 10 program

They said the same when Chip Kelly left, De Anthony Tomas, LaMichael James, Dennis Dixon... etc.
As a team they've only improved year after the last year of their runs. Predicting what the Ducks
will do has fooled just about everyone year after year. Last year it was about their head coach. Now
he's sitting on a big raise and a contract extension. Far from the failure that he was predicted to be.
And so it goes.....

Oregon isn't getting desperate they are getting better, they had a need at QB this year and they filled it.

Good luck Ducks. You'd think being a destination school like RedEye claims they'd be in it for the 5 star from WA. Instead he's going 2500 miles across the country to UGA. I guess they are a destination school for d2 transfers.

we already have a top flight QB coming in.. Waller will sit for a year behind Adams and take over in 2016..We can't carry to many QB's at one time.. Hell, we're saying thanks but no thanks to Braxton.. All QB's aren't exactly a good fit here....Mariota was only a 3 star and we know how that went....

A 5 star QB who doesn't fit Oregon's offense, keep reaching.

Big difference between a Div2 transfer and a graduate transfer, keep reaching.

How did that turn out? second place gets coaches fired in these parts.

Don't expect Waller to concede the job and redshirt. He's actually pretty damn good. I'm just amazed they can't get better QBS after the psedosuccess the Hawaiians have had. I've been following recruiting for 30 years and never remember the runner up not being able to get a top 15 class month later.

Good luck though. Maybe the answer was hidden away in d 2 all along just waiting on this moment.

In all seriousness, can you explain to me the difference? Bottom line is he was a zero star and had 2 offers out of high school. E Wash and Portland St. Now he may be good but the odds of him being all conference are very very low. Not very many success stories about one year transfers from FCS, just being real.
