I hate the NFL. I hate it. They do everything they can to shorten the games. Have you ever noticed a player seemingly get tackled out of bounds yet the ref closest to the play rolls the clock (w/ his arm)? How about the 30-second time out? Time out's used to all be 2-minutes, but the NFL now has one of the 3 TO's as a 30-second timeout. That's such BS. TO's are there for a team to catch their breath. Sure, sometimes they want to stop the clock. So what? It's a break for both teams (so much for harping on "safety").
Now I read this. The PAC (and Sun Belt) are pushing to end the clock stoppage after a 1st down.
CFB changed the clock rules a few years ago by starting the clock when the ball is set after going out of bounds (it used to start at the snap of the ball).
I'm tired of them trying to fix something that's not broken. CFB games averaged 3 hours and 23 minutes. What will this do, shorten it by 6 minutes? It's a joke. It's why CFB is different. It's a different game than the NFL! Stop fucking with it!
