Bret Bielema will receive a raise and extension through 2020. He will receive a raise from his previous $3.2 million salary, making an average of $4.25 million annually over the six year deal. If the school fires Bielema over the next three years, it would owe him $15.4 million. Bielema was 3-9 in his first year with the Razorbacks and 7-6 last season.

Mark Helfrich is getting a raise and five year contract extension. Helfrich will make an average of $3.5 million, which runs through January, 2020. The Oregon coach made $2 million last year.

*Washington coach Chris Peterson is the highest paid coach in the Pac 12 earning $3,681,720 during 2014.

Way too much for two coaches who may well be out of a job in 2 or 3 years. Bielema has lost 15 games in his twi seasons at Arkansas. Helfrich, whose teams were picked to run the table twice in two years, lost two games in eah of those two years and has a much tougher Pac 12 to contend with now.

to put these numbers into a different perspective....

These 10 range in salary weekly:

From Steve Spurrier... $77,000 per week
to Nick Saban ... over $140,000 per week

As I see it their biggest disadvantage is that neither
of them can cash his paycheck at the supermarket.

See what's wrong there? Helfrich plays in the NC game and made a cool $2million....now he'll get a fat raise to $3.5 mil. Meanwhile, Bielema goes 7-6 and is bumped to $4 million!

What is really amazing is the assistant coaches salaries. When FSU fired Bobby's son, Jeff, from the OC position in 2006 he was making $145K. That's what most OC/DC positions were paid back then. Nowadays the DB coach at a shitty school makes that!

Can't speak that much about Arkansas & Bielma but Oregon doesn't fire coaches...
