Wouldn't the Thunder be better off if they had not committed so much money to Serge Ibaka & instead saved that for Harden?

One could even argue that OKC might be a better team with James Harden instead of Westbrook.

Either way, they haven't been the same since they let the beard man get away...

Their ownership could've easily retained him had they amnestied K Perkins.

Would've bit the luxury tax bullet for a few years but as the cap went up they would've been fine.

However, to be fair, who knows if Harden even wanted to stay. Guy is the leading scorer in the league, him being 3rd banana for 5 years probably wasn't in the cards.

That being said the haul they got was awful and 1 of the worst trades of all time. They should've kept him for that season and tried to get more.

Harden is a monster ball hog. Look at his number this game: http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?id=400579063

He had more 3 point attempts than rest of the teams shot attempts, other than 1
25 fg attempts + 23 free throws

He touches the ball almost every possession. No way him and Westbrook could of co-existed. They both need to touch the ball too much.

But a combo of Harden & Durant would be nice to see. They would be tough to stop on offense

the Thunder are a cheap organization in general. They made a lot of $ when their star players were still on rookie contracts, once they had to pay all of them they decided they didn't want to pay Harden.
