kids? USA put 8 yr olds out there?
USA and Canada had non-pros (college, university players) . Russia, Czech, Swedes , Fins had their country's elite players . Clearly not fair. Yes, big upset indeed-- if they played the next day Russia likely blows them out just as they did pre-tournament.
again, usa BEAT the number 2 team in this tournament, the Czechs. This team wasn't exactly Poland on ice......now if Poland beat Russia at Lake Placcid, well, it would be more than a 'miracle'...
