i feel bad for him bc he is basically grant hill 2.0
dude won an MVP and was on his way to establishing himself as the best pg for the next few years. he was everything westbrook was as far as an athletic freak, had a much better jumper, and overall was just a walking highlight reel.
he had a solid bulls squad and with his growth prior to injury, we would be talking about the bulls going to the finals year after year. it would also make a great rivalry for kyrie/bron.

I had this same exact injury.
I don't know why people are saying this is season ending.
This injury is not nearly as bad as the other two .

I would bet money he is back this season in 6 weeks or less.

Considering some of the comments he has made etc , not sure he comes across as kind of guy to exactly "root" for but still hard not to feel sorry a tad for the talent he has being derailed by all the injuries.

Seriously?

Feel sorry for him? Hell no. They pay him millions to do nothing. If I were the Bulls, if I have to pay him beat on him everyday until his contract is up. He can be the team punching dummy. Strap him to the walls in the locker room and do whatever you want with him.

No i don't feel sorry for a guy who not too long titled himself as the best player in the league, when it wasn't even realistic.

And please don't give me the line about every player should think this way as a competitor.

I'm not going to go as far as saying he's always been overrated, but he's only ever been worthy of being ranked in the "star" category.
Not "Superstar" as he & so many of his fans believed...

I hate how these contracts are guaranteed. Dumbest thing ever. Can you imagine getting a job offer for 85K and ask for a 6 year contract. On top of that they basically get 6 months off. If they realize they chose the wrong candidate they still have to pay you all that money.

The guy is set for life and people feel sorry for him. He won the genetic lottery.

The guy is 26 and makes over 20 million a year even if he says he is hurt. 99.99% of the country won't make 20 million in a lifetime. And it is all about the money. If it wasn't he would have stayed 4 years like college is designed for.

Not to mention, he could get a cush broadcaster job somewhere if wanted an extra million a year by working a couple months.

Some of you sound like Mike Greenburg.

He was paid that because he was able to do something 99.999% of other peopleon the earth couldn't. Genetics, yeah sure that plays a big role, but you don't think these guys put in the work to get to that level?

His comments about seeing himself as the best player agitated you that much?

I wouldn't say I feel sorry for him but it definitely sucks when your career is basically over at 25 and you had potential to do a lot more.

Some bodies are more predisposed to injuries than others, his was obviously 1 of them.

Not every meniscus tear is =. Once you get an injury like that once, the chances of getting it again go up. He had the same injury last year.

His knees obviously don't really work to play basketball at the highest level.

I'm guessing the bet money was hyperbole but that is likely a bet you would lose.
