Not to mention, his former boss, DJ, is coming off two top 5 finishes worth about $870k. Tough pill to swallow.

Caddies are lucky they even get paid the way they do. If I were a pro, I'd give them a dime per tournament regardless of the result.

A grand doesn't even cover the airfare and hotel for the week. I do think that any caddy making over 200 grand is overpaid.. I think the players should be able to use range finders to get yardages while playing.

Of all the jobs that I ever had, caddying is the one I miss the most.....sometimes I think I should have stayed on some kind of tour.....1974/75 Womens Open I caddied for Donna Caponi Young and she finished around 17th or so and won 1760 bucks...I got exactly 10%.....I look at the money some make nowadays and wonder.....

Tiger's caddy is on a yearly salary, like most of the caddies for the bigger name players. I'm sure there are performance incentives in the deals, but I don't think the salaried caddies get 10%, probably a couple of points less because of the salary

I think with the amount of money they are playing for, 7 % is closer to the norm these days ..
